Lamentations
Session 9
Why is it written in the Word of God to seek Him?
It is to our benefit. He is the sustainer of life – He is the beginning and the ending (Rev. 1:8). He is in our past, now in our present and will be in our future – He is Omnipresent.
Written in the Word of God are instructions to seek His face – Psalm 119:2(KJV); “Blessed are they that keep His testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart.” Also, recorded in Jeremiah 29:13(KJV); “And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when you shall search for Me with all your heart.”
There are benefits that we may receive from seeking God – seeking Him can bring forth joy, peace, hope, this list can go on and on.
How may we seek God our Father? Through the Word of God and prayer.
Do you have a spouse – seek Him for your spouse.
Do you have children/grandchildren – seek Him for your family.
In every aspect of our lives, it is to our advantage to seek the face of God – the face of a loving Father.
God is all knowing – so why not approach the One who knows all.
When life has drained you and left a thirst for zeal – seek the beautiful face of love – seek Him.
When life is seemly out of control and unmanageable – seek Him.
When vast turbulence of life can turn us upside down, whether these drastic situations are invited, uninvited, intentional, or unintentional – seek Him.
There is no greater love than the love of the Father. Because He sent His Son Jesus Christ to reconcile us to Himself.
Seek the heart of the Father to bask in His love – no greater love.
